Overall Joomla seems easy to use and now that I know how modules work, I can customise the layout further. With some careful testing, I’ve modified the template HTML and CSS so fingers crossed that proves to have no warts.

I have been fiddling with Joomla for a few weeks and I am finally getting the hang of how it works.

One big mistake I made was to install the sample content – repeat after me, do not install the sample content. Although it seemed like a good idea initially, it was not obvious how each piece connected to the other pieces so it took a while to clean it out. Main activity now is manually converting content from existing iweb based site which is a good learning exercise.

Hopefully I’ll be able to migrate this to my main site in the next couple of weeks.
